Core Components of the Strategic Plan

The vision and mission represent the overarching direction that the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) seeks to achieve. They serve as the foundation upon which the Authority’s policies, initiatives, and performance development efforts are built. To ensure clarity and effectiveness, the strategic planning team conducted comprehensive internal reviews and consultations to validate the document's quality. These reviews ensured that the vision and mission statements are clearly articulated, accurately defined, and aligned with the expectations of all relevant stakeholders.

To develop highly qualified national talent academically and professionally in accordance with the highest standards, best practices, and strategic partnerships. This will be achieved through a competitive and supportive environment that fosters creativity, innovation, scientific research, and continuous development to meet the requirements of sustainable development in line with the New Kuwait Vision.

Strategic Goals and Objectives

Following a comprehensive SWOT analysis to assess the current status of PAAET, including its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, the Authority identified a set of strategic goals and objectives.

 

Strategic Goal 1

Developing High-Quality National Competencies Aligned with National Development Plans

Objectives

1.    Develop academic programs and curricula in line with scientific advancements and international program accreditation standards.

2.     Create an academic environment that supports creativity and innovation.

3.     Enhance the quality of academic advising and guidance services.

4.     Evaluate and strengthen the effectiveness of field training programs.

 

Strategic Goal 2

Achieving Excellence in Institutional Performance

Objectives

1.     Strengthen strategic management practices through participatory governance.

2.     Develop governance policies and regulatory frameworks based on transparency.

3.     Institutionalize quality assurance practices and performance measurement systems.

4.     Upgrade and modernize institutional infrastructure.

 

Strategic Goal 3

Excellence in Scientific Research and Innovation

Objectives

1.     Provide financial support for applied research projects.

2.     Enhance research capabilities of academic and training staff.

3.     Develop the applied research ecosystem within PAAET as a key driver for community impact.

4.     Establish knowledge exchange and research partnerships with leading international universities in targeted research areas.

Effective Community Partnership and Social Responsibility

Objectives

1.     Build strong local partnerships that contribute to achieving Kuwait’s development objectives.

2.     Promote a culture of volunteerism and humanitarian and environmental responsibility among PAAET members.

3.     Contribute actively to environmental sustainability in the State of Kuwait.
