The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) seeks to enhance the quality and efficiency of its educational and training outcomes, ensuring that its graduates are well qualified to work across various sectors of the labor market. Through this effort, the Authority aims to contribute effectively to national economic development and to support efforts to improve the country's demographic balance. This is achieved by offering training programs and academic curricula that keep pace with global developments and the demands of globalization, thereby strengthening the skills and knowledge graduates need to successfully integrate into the labor market.
PAAET also strives to fulfill the mission for which it was established: to provide a qualified national technical workforce capable of meeting the quantitative and qualitative requirements of social and economic development. This objective is supported through the Authority’s admission policies, which adopt a flexible and balanced approach in both quantity and quality. These policies enable the admission of Kuwaiti youth to various pathways in applied education and vocational training by activating educational and training strategies aligned with the Authority’s societal role and the prevailing national context.
In implementing its admission policies, PAAET takes into consideration the general directions of the national development plan and the objectives of the government’s work program, while also accounting for institutional capacity when distributing admitted students across colleges and training institutes. Furthermore, the Authority continuously monitors labor market indicators and evolving workforce demands to ensure alignment between its graduates and the labor market's changing needs.
To support these objectives, PAAET has prioritized developing modern educational infrastructure equipped with advanced technologies that meet contemporary standards. Among its major construction projects is the Shuwaikh Health and Technology Campus, the largest educational complex in the country, covering approximately 700,000 square meters. This complex comprises several colleges and institutes, designed to the latest scientific and technological specifications.
In addition, another major development project, the Educational Campus in Al-Ardiya, will host the College of Basic Education and the College of Business Studies. The campus will cover approximately 950,000 square meters and is expected to accommodate around 23,000 male and female students across the two colleges.
Further projects include the development of new campuses and facilities for PAAET in Jahra, Ahmadi, Khiran, and Subiya, where additional branches of colleges and training institutes will be established in accordance with the latest academic and technological standards to expand the Authority’s educational capacity and support future growth.
