With the approval of their advisor, a student may add one or more courses during the first week of the regular semester or the first three days of the summer semester, provided that they do not exceed the maximum study load.
With the approval of their advisor, students may drop one or more courses no later than the fifth week after the start of the semester, provided that their study load remains at 12 credits or above.
With the approval of the Student Affairs Committee, a student may withdraw entirely from all courses for which they have registered in a semester. This withdrawal shall be registered in the student’s record with the symbol W. Withdrawals from courses will not be included in the student’s grade point average. However, the student shall attend their courses until the committee makes a decision. Otherwise, A student shall be considered to have failed all courses that they registered for in the semester in which they withdraw from study in the College.
Students cannot stop their studies during the first semester after joining the college unless they submit an excuse accepted by the Student Affairs Committee.
A student shall be considered to have failed all courses they registered for in the semester in which they withdrew from study in the college.
Students must attend all courses for which they have registered punctually, including clinical courses.
Suppose a student is absent from any course in a regular semester for several hours equivalent to one week’s attendance. In that case, the Course Instructor shall issue a cautionary warning (first warning) in writing and inform the Registration Office.
If the total hours of absence from any course in a regular semester increase to the equivalent of two weeks’ attendance, the Course Instructor shall issue a cautionary warning (second warning) in writing and inform the Registration Office.
Suppose the total hours of absence from a course in a regular semester reach the equivalent of three weeks’ attendance from that course. In that case, the Course Instructor shall inform the student of the Academic Advisor and suspend the student, which will be deemed a failure of the course. Failure will be entered into their record as HM. The course instructor must enter the HM grade for the student before the last day for HM on the academic calendar.
\Any student absent for two clinical days without a valid medical excuse shall have his/her clinical performance appraisal grade for that course lowered by an entire grade.
Suppose a student’s absence from any course in a summer semester reaches 10% of the specified hours for that semester. In that case, the Course Instructor shall issue a cautionary warning (first warning) in writing.
If a student’s absence from any course in a summer semester reaches 15% of the specified hours, the Course Instructor shall issue a second warning in writing.
If a student’s absence from any course in a summer semester exceeds 20% of the specified hours for that semester, then the student will be deemed to have failed the course and will not be allowed to sit the final examination.
