The academic year consists of two semesters, each lasting 14 weeks, and an optional summer session lasting seven weeks. Besides teaching, each semester has time set aside for counseling, registration and final examinations.
The Major Sheet (or Study Plan) specifies the courses that must be taken in each semester and that lead to the award of the Associate Degree in Nursing or the Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. It also specifies the number of elective courses that the student must take. Students should consider the requirements for each semester, the prerequisite, compulsory, and elective courses.
