 Brief about Higher Institute Of Energy

In terms of relying on trained national technical workers in the operation and monitoring of electric power generation and water distillation plants, the Electricity and Water Training Center was established in 1968 and at that time was affiliated with the Ministry of Electricity and Water. Boilers, turbines, electric generators, and distillers, and in 1976 the center was attached to the Central Administration for Training, where it was established to be responsible for training activities in the country at the time. With the establishment of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training in 1982, the Center’s affiliation to the training sector was transferred to the Authority.
After the liberation, the center witnessed a remarkable development, as its name changed to the Electricity and Water Training Institute in 1993 and it now includes fourteen specializations to meet the increasing needs of the Ministry of Electricity and Water in the fields of operation and maintenance, and with the continued development of the Institute and the increase in its outputs that meet the needs of many ministries and government agencies The name was changed to the Higher Energy Institute in 2008, then the institute moved to the new building in the Technological Complex in Shuwaikh area in 2006, where the building was built according to the latest international systems, and the building contains 12 buildings designated for the administration, another for scientific departments and support offices, and the rest of the buildings are for classrooms, workshops and laboratories.

Since its establishment, the Higher Institute of Energy has been dedicated to become a center of excellence that leverages scientific research to improve its educational system. This system is overseen by experienced and specialized trainers with a background in both education and training.
