The
schools of Parallel Education were established to train those students
that are unable to cope with the academic education offered by the nations
secondary schools. It is envisioned that the learning of specific
technological skills coupled with enough formal learning to obtain some
secondary level education, will prepare the students for employment at
entry level to certain skilled manpower areas, or for entrance into one of
PAAET’s training institutes. The program is proving to be a great
success. Objectives The objectives of the Schools of Parallel Education are to prepare a qualified skilled manpower cadre to meet the development needs of the nation in certain specialized technical areas. Specializations The Schools of Parallel Education offer programs in the following technical specialties:- Automotive Mechanics - Automotive Electric - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Maintenance - Offset Printing - Welding and Metal Casting - Formwork and Reinforced Concrete - Electrical Installation - Cabinet work and Decoration Study System The programs are of a four year duration, successful students receive a Parallel Education Schools Diploma. This represents a preparatory stage for the level of a skilled technician. Opportunities The graduates of these courses can readily find employment in both the private and public sectors. Alternatively those that have excelled in their studies will be granted entrance into one of PAAET’s training institutes, where they will be able to further their skills training. |
