Responsibilities These departments are responsible for proposing admittance plans, scholarships, budgets, construction projects and technical and secretarial work for the Board of Directors and for the Director General. They also suggest means of improving work systems and performance standards, plan the general policies for scholarship, endorse these policies and prepare the various plans and programs required for their execution. They are responsible for the development and enrichment of the mutual understanding between the Authority and all of the parties that it deals with. The department also provides modernization and promotion of communication channels between the Authority and other parties for the exchange of information. The Curriculum Development Center is a newly created center mandated to develop and implement all of the curricula for the Authority. |

The Deanery of Admissions and Registration is divided into two major sections: Admissions and Registration. Admissions The Admissions office is responsible for the implementation and follow up of admittance policies of the colleges and training institutions of the Authority. It makes all of the necessary arrangements for these policies and records the progress of the students and trainees throughout the duration of their educational programs, advice to students on the courses that they should follow is also provided. This section is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of a data base containing all admittance and registration information of the Authority. This is achieved through cooperation with the Authority’s computer and data center. Registration The Office of the Registrar General is responsible for the organization, preparation and follow up of the general study schedules for the colleges and training institutions of the Authority and for the registration of students and trainees into their appropriate studies groups. The Office of the Registrar General maintains files of all current students and trainees in order to monitor their progress with respect to graduation requirements. It also maintains forms and records belonging to the graduates of the colleges and training institutions of the Authority, and updates them on a regular basis. Affiliated to this deanery are the various registration offices located at the colleges and training institutions; these implement the rules and regulations which relate to registration and withdrawal procedures, and monitors the progress achieved in their programs by the students and trainees. |

The Deanery of Student Affairs is divided into two major sections, Student Activities and Student Welfare: Student
Activities: The
second sub-section deals with the cultural and artistic aspects of the
students and trainees life. The
third sub-section is directed towards social activities and scouting. Social
Activities and Scouting: Student
Welfare: The Student Welfare sub-section is concerned with the welfare plans for the students and trainees of the Authority, and with the estimated budgets for these plans. This sub-section is responsible for the provision of different aspects of welfare, the distribution of stipends and allowances according to appropriate rules and regulations. The Student Housing sub-section sets the rules and regulations related to the housing of students and trainees. It arranges for boarding, offers services and care and follows up on the maintenance of the boarding units, it also suggests improvements and modifications to the boarding service. The Expatriate Student Affairs sub-section prepares guidance programs for scholarship students. It also prepares the periodic reports that are necessary for determining the progress of the expatriate students. It is this sub-section that follows up on the affairs of the expatriate students, facilitates their enrollment into the Authority’s institutions, helps solve their academic and social problems and responds to all correspondence concerning them. |
